March is a month full of activities for our students and their families. Welcome to all, and we hope you enjoy the celebrations, including:

四虎影视 Annual Family Day: event for students and families, including a race, foam party, games, food, marketplace featuring local entrepreneurs, and much more. Registration fee for the race is CR鈧10,000 per person, to cover the cost of the race set that each runner receives.

II AASCA Model United Nations: for the second consecutive year, we will host the Conference that brings together American schools from Central America for three days of dialogue and the development of proposals to address the current problems of our planet. This exclusive event for students, which brings together approximately 300 people, will take place from March 12th to 14th. We wish the delegates and committee leaders representing 四虎影视, as well as the MUN team leading this session, much success. Go Falcons!

This extraordinary award is granted only when the evaluated school exceeds the expectations established by the auditors. We also congratulate the Model United Nations Program delegation that represented 四虎影视 at the FERMUN Conference in Switzerland and wish great success to those who will represent us at NAIMUN Washington, D.C.) this month. Go Falcons!

We remind you that after-school classes begin on Monday, February 2nd. We must also inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, Family Day will be rescheduled. This event will now take place on Saturday, March 14th. Details will be shared later.

12th-grade students will be selling Valegrams to raise funds for their graduation celebration.

In this month of celebrations and good wishes, we thank you for your support to the NHS and Stuko teams through your donations and attendance at the Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon.

Congratulations to Mr. Bravo and our Mathletes who participated in the National Math Olympiad Finals, with special mention to Shanaya G., who won a Bronze Medal. Great job, Falcons!

The PTO’s Christmas celebration will be held on Thursday, December 4th, starting at 5:00 p.m. Carols, parade, food, market place, and many surprises await you at this event for the entire family. Parking is available at the church next to the school.

The last day of school for this semester is Friday, December 12th, 2025. All students will be dismissed at 12 noon.

The school will be closed from December 18th, 2025, to January 3rd, 2026. Classes for the second semester of the school year will start on Monday, January 12th, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.

In this month of gratitude, we thank you for your donations to the Bel茅n Palliative Care Association. This food and household supplies drive will be repeated next semester, again organized by NHS.

We salute the political parties that participated in this year’s election process. We thank Enzo A. and his team for their work in 2024-2025 and welcome the new Student Council led by Paulo L.

We congratulate Mr. Bravo and our Mathletes for advancing to the Finals of the National Mathematics Olympiad: Jorge C., Leonardo G., and Shanaya U. Great Job Falcons!

The Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 26th. Funds raised will be shared with the school’s National Honor Society (NHS) and Student Council (STUKO). This year, in addition to the luncheon, there will be presentations from some grade levels. The details for this event will be announced soon.

As usual, October is a very busy month, including events for the whole family.

The NHS (National Honor Society) team will lead its semi-annual donation drive for the Palliative Care Association in Bel茅n. This is a social program that 四虎影视 has maintained for years, collecting food and personal care items to support families in the community facing the terminal illness of one of their members. We thank you in advance for your solidarity.

Students will have different activities during Mental Health Week and Breast Cancer Prevention Month. We encourage you to continue the conversations at home about these important topics. One of our guest speakers this year is Ms. Amalia Ortu帽o, a prominent national athlete.

There will be elections for a new Student Council (Stuko), the Gymnastics team will participate in the EuroGym Cup, and the Basketball team will compete in the 2025 AASCA Tournament. We wish them all great success! Go Falcons!

Finally, we remind you that we will have an Open House Day on Thursday, October 23rd for families wishing to enroll at 四虎影视 in January and August 2026. Our Basketball Team is competing in the 2025 ACTION Tournament and is preparing for the 2025 AASCA Tournament in October. Your support is important for our home and away games. The Gymnastics Team will also compete this month. We wish our athletes great success! Go Falcons!

We invite all families to join us for the Costa Rica Independence Assembly, which will be held on Tuesday, September 16th at 8:00 a.m. in the gymnasium. We encourage you to wear traditional costumes and/or the colors of the Central American flags. Seniors will be selling food and breakfast before and after the Assembly.

We remind you that students have a one-week break this month: they will not have classes from Monday, September 22nd to Friday, September 26th, while educators attend training sessions as part of Tri-Conference 2025. Classes will resume as normal on Monday, September 29th at 8:00 a.m.

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! We hope this will be a productive and enjoyable year for our entire community.

The purpose of this newsletter is to increase awareness of the roles, responsibilities, and activities of the Board of Directors. 四虎影视 is one of very few private schools in Costa Rica that is parent owned. We are governed by an all voluntary 6-member board (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and 2 at-large members) plus a Fiscal. The board works with the administration to manage the fiscal stability and growth of the school and ensure the school’s mission and vision are being met. While the board is responsible for oversight, the administration is responsible for the day to day running of the school. Information regarding past activities and future projects, financial reporting, and other relevant topics are presented to all families twice a year at the General Assembly meetings, held in November and May. We encourage everyone to attend these meetings to stay informed.

If you have been on campus, you may have noticed some of the improvements we made over the summer break. First is the paving of the parking lot and sidewalk. New bathrooms were constructed, and existing bathrooms were remodeled, including showers in the gymnasium. The front office was reconfigured to provide a private space for the accountant and the Preschool classroom was divided to create a Toddler classroom as 四虎影视 continues to grow.

At the end of the last school year, we completed the installation of solar panels on the gymnasium roof. This project will supply all our electrical needs on a clear sunny day and provide significant savings while also benefitting the environment.

It is our goal to be a welcoming and supportive environment to your children. We continue to work towards improving the academic and physical environment of 四虎影视.

It is a great joy to greet our returning students, families and educators, while welcoming new students, new families, and new teachers who join our school in this first week of classes.|

We are kicking off the 2025-2026 school year with the opening of the Toddlers Class for the youngest members of the family, for students ages 2 and up. You can obtain information about this service at admissions@ais.ed.cr or WhatsApp 7070-0733.

In addition to the usual back-to-school maintenance, you will find renovated showers, bathrooms, and parking; and a new Accounting office that provides greater privacy for addressing financial issues.

We remind you that for admission next Monday, payments and all student documentation must be completed by August 1, 2025. If you still have any outstanding payments or need to complete documentation, please contact Mar铆a Gonz谩lez at mgonzalez@ais.ed.cr or extension 100, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    We commend the MUN team and the support groups that organized, led, and participated in the 1st AASCA Model United Nations Conference. The work done was so outstanding that we have been designated again as hosts for next year’s event in March 2026鈥 and for the third consecutive year in March 2027!

    Congratulations to the educators and students for holding the 2025 STEAM Fair with a variety of projects that fostered critical thinking in the search for (and implementation of) solutions to problems with social and environmental impact.

    We applaud our athletes who excelled representing Costa Rica in their sports: Michael Mikus for being crowned Central American Golf Champion and David Arroyo for being appointed for the National Basketball Team.

    We wish great success to our 12th grade students who have already made their decisions for their majors and universities. This year, they chose universities in Europe, the United States, and Costa Rica.

    The General Assembly Meeting of this semester will be held in May.

    We remain vigilant regarding alerts for the eruptive activity of the Po谩s Volcano. We urge our families to do the same and stay informed about the preventive measures in place in their areas.

    Thank you for attending the Annual International Luncheon 2025. Your participation funded part of the expenses of our athletes who competed in the AASCA (Association of American Schools of Central America) Tournaments in El Salvador and Guatemala. Congratulations to the Volleyball Team for their performance, and to the Swimming Team for bringing home four medals and ranking all our athletes in the Top 10 in their categories. Great job, Falcons!

    From April 3rd to 5th, our school will host the 1st AASCA Model United Nations Conference. This event brings together more than 200 students, representing 13 schools from five Central American countries. We invite you to join the opening and closing ceremonies, which will be live streamed on 四虎影视 social media. We thank the MUN team and the support groups who have worked for several months to organize this important event.

    We will have Open House on Saturday, April 5th for new families wishing to join 四虎影视 in August 2025. Reservations can be made via WhatsApp 7070-0733.
